Select question!!!

Hi,

I have a table structure like that:

The user come on this page after he has slected the category (AA-AB-AC,etc...........):

ProductID, ManufacturerCode,Category,....
1, 3co,AA,...........
2,3co,AB,................
3,APC,AA,............
4,APC,BC,................
5,APC,BC,.....................
........

I need to do a SQL command to extract each ManufacturerCode once and then to do a selection in another Tabble (Manufacturer) and then finally put in a select form each Manfacturer Code and description one time only.

The Manufacturer looks like that:
ManufacturerCode, Description,...
APC, APC
3co, 3com
............

How can I do this selection, thanks for your help

Your question is unclear. This part especially:
"and then to do a selection in another Tabble (Manufacturer)"

When asking a question, tell in detail what your ultimate goal is. That helps us a lot more than telling us the steps you think you need to take.

I'm guessing that what you need is a select box with each manufacturer's id. If that is the case, you can just do this:

$result = mysql_query("SELECT DISTINCT(ManufacturerCode ) FROM Manufacturer");
if( mysql_num_rows($result) == 0 ) echo("No manufacturer codes found.");
else
{
     echo("<select name=manufacturer>");
     while( $row = mysql_fetch_array($result) ) echo("<option value=$row[0]>$row[0]</option>");

}

BTW, if ManufacturerCode is NOT the primary key of the manufacturer table, then your data is not normalized.
