If I make my MSSQL 2000 server run the PHP 4.3.4 on IIS it runs smoothly and with out much lag. When I separate the two functions (SQL and Web hosting) it runs VERY slow on all queries.
MSSQL Server:
Windows 2k (to be win2k3)
MSSQL 2000
Web Server:
Windows 2k
PHP 4.3.4
IIS 5.0 (tried 6 and win2k3 as well)
I am using version 2000.80.194.0 of ntwdblib.dll so I know its not that. I have not tried the ODBC connection as I have read that it runs much slower (though wouldn't take much to be faster than this situation).
I don’t think it’s related to DNS as I have tried connecting to it with the URL, the IP address, and the named pipe. I REALLY don’t want to recode everything over to ASP, so if you have any suggestions that keep me with two different machines on windows platforms I'd appreciate it.
