PHP text to MYSQL format problem

Hey I know this is a simple problem, but I can't seem to figure it out.

When I type in a text box this sentence "She isn't here, and this isn't her diary" and use php to enter it to mySQL database, it enters it as "She isn\'t here, and this isn\'t her diary".

Anybody know how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

It needs to be like that to actually insert. Otherwise, it'll bomb on the quotes. You just use stripslashes() when pulling it out
