Posting a form in an IFRAME from outsided the IFRAME

How would I do that then? I’ve got a PHP index page with an embedded iframe. I have a site search field outside the iframe and want the results to be displayed in the iframe when the field is posted.

Is there a way to do this? Doesn’t sound that unreasonable.

Really grateful for any help.

Not at all unreasonable.

The standard method would be to let the page that is destined to be in the IFRAME be the php page that actually does the search.

The info needed to make the search could be passed to it in the normal way.

Just worked it out. Really simple too.

Just gave the iframe a name and targeted the form to it just like good 'ol' normal frames. Didnt think I could do that but there we go.

Theres me using variables to control the content of the iframe and I could have done this in the first place. Never mind.
