getting my feet wet...

After reading a book on PHP.....are there any "practical projects" out there that can be worked on for newbies.......or can anybody give me ideas about a project to start (includes mysql too) ....I don't know...something like a todo list , or contact manager...

So, an application rather than a website?

There's so much already out there... I'd either find something I thought was cool and attempt to improve it, or else find something I liked and make my own version of it.

I'm unfortunately not too good at predicting the "next big thing" 🙂
