Freetype2

I'm trying to get freetype2 to work but when I use imagefttext(); I am told the function is undefined.

I did gd_inf(); and here's some of what it tells me:

[GD Version] => bundled (2.0 compatible) [FreeType Support] => 1 [FreeType Linkage] => with freetype

So far I've been pointed to compiling php with freetype2 enabled. Is that how I'm going to have to do it? Or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

Whoever said recompile was right. You need to download freetype 2 (http://www.freetype.org/), compile --with-freetype-dir=/your/freetype/dir
