Installing GD Library

Can someone point me in the right direction of a good tutorial for installing the GD Library? or if it's simple just give me some steps?? I googled a few different times but my understanding on adding things on to PHP is null..

WinXP.. i had some help from a friend...

I downloaded the GD Library.. but I'm not sure where to put all the stuff, i should uncomment the line with php_gd.dll or w/e on it right in my php.ini? But where do i get this .dll from or is it already in some folder?

We're all newbs in one area or another.. 😉

look for the dlls directory on the directory where you installed PHP like C:/PHP... copy all the dlls there to System32 folder on windows. Uncomment the php_gd.dll line... i think this files are on the extensions directory on php.

if you cant find dlls and extensions directory, reinstall php using the zipped PHP instead of the installer package...
