Login System

hi all i have been working in php for quite a while now some people may remember me as "Rakim" from here but i am still rubish at logins i need a system that will....

display text boxes on a page instead of the popup window,
and that forwards to another page wich will be my admin

BUT:
i would like it to have the thing that checks the login was sucessfull in a "config" file included in all the pages i want encrypted and then users added into a database.

can someone PLEASE help me out on where to A) find one or 😎 to make one

Not sure I get it right, but...
My suggestion is to use sessions. Thats make all things much easier. For instance:

session_start();
... // register $session variable that holds all session variables

// login form sent hidden 'action' parameter set to 'login'
if( $_GET['action'] != 'login' ) {
  ... // check login and password
  if( $login_ok ) {
    $session['authenticated'] = true;
  }
}

if( !isset($session['authenticated']) || !$session['authenticated'] ) {
  header("Location: http://host/not_logged_page.html");
  exit;
}

Something like this. In this code can be easily added check for session expiration (user makes no activity within reasonable amount of time), storing some parameters in session variable (like a user ID), etc.

i knew it was sessions i just couldnt think of the word but i was looking for a script where i can add users from to a mysql database and they login with the information in the database for that user like most scripts can you code something like this for me ? or tell me where to get one i have got one but it has something wrong with it ill post it in a few mins its on my server ill have to login to the ssh and find it tho.
