IDE for PHP

I am new to LAMP and pls help me.

My setting:
Linux Red Hat 8.0 with Apache, PHP and MySQL.

I plan to use Java Script or J Script (client side), PHP (Server side), and MySQL for my web development.

Questions:
1> Is there any IDE, integrated development environment for J Script and PHP? (Like Jbuilder for Java, VB for Microsoft¡¦s stuff). I like to accomplish more in shorter, as most people do. I prefer programs with lots of helps to reduce typing, like VB.
2> Can PHP script be compiled? I heard PHP 5 can be compiled. Pls advise.

Do A search on the Boards for php IDE ... this question has been answered many, many times .... if that doesnt help .... The only one I can think of is Zend for Linux that has what you want .... all the rest are code intensive meaning very little given to you.
