Software for viewing MYSQL

Is there a piece of software that allows you to connect to a MYSQL database and view the data in a datasheet and then allow you to make changes like Excel?

It seems to me that they make these things as user unfriendly as possible...

if you need for windows, my favourites is mysql-front. It's a bit old, but I don't find anyother so ligth.

(However because some (all?) server don't allows to connect from remote pc, any front-end maybe useless...)

I have MYSQL-front but it wont let me connect although it used to.. If I knew what to change on the server i would...

I don't know exactly
what you have to do, but sure you have to enable the port 3306 on firewall. You need it to connect.

(For security purpose you can change this value (3306...) to another port...)

I use phpmyadmin, in the now very rare occasions when I use mysql.
