user choice not editable text fields

hi

I have six options to choose with checkboxes, that will call a php script that retrieve data from oracle.

But the options that wasn´t choosen must be displayed as not editable text fields, to force the user just to know that the others fields exist.

How can i make the text fields not editable? with javascript? or php?

try using the disabled flag...

like this:
