How do I a PHP script to give me this error that Internet Explorer gives when I try to do things like: Preview Post, go back, and then go forward to see that preview.

Error:

Warning: Page has Expired The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you.

To resubmit your information and view this Web page, click the Refresh button.

There are ways to get around this. Use the GET method and pass the form fields back and forth. Or, instead of clicking the back button, having hidden form fields to post back to the same page. Or use temporary session vars to store the data.

Some people don't like using the hidden form fields, tho. And I'm sure there are even more ways to do it. Here are just a few.

Maybe I don't follow what you want. You say the page has expired (which is what's happening if you click back onto a page that was submiited via POST, which naturally happens), but you do or don't want that. If you do, then what exactly do you need?

from what i understand, he has a script that when he previews stuff and hits the back button the browser goes to the previous page where he dont want it to go. he wants the expired page to be displayed instead but he doesnt know how to do it.
