group by, order by

Greetings,

i want to group my results then sort them by time (newest first) but this is not working:

GROUP BY thread.forumid DESC ORDER BY thread.dateline DESC LIMIT 0,5

its grouping them correctly, but it grouping oldest to newest instead of newest to oldest.

Try GROUP BY thread.forumid ASC ..
