i have a data base with mysql 3.23.58 and an ID of zero for my first record. This column is an autonumber column sometimes, that ID of zero seems to change to the next autonumber for no reason. I have check all my queries and no queries update that field anywhere. i cant reproduce the exact fault, it seems a random thing. can anyone shed any light in this?
Yes, there is a bug in mysql which perhaps fits your error. I think.

Hi, don't worry, is not a bug, is how auto_increment work. If you insert a '0' value, mysql give it a value of MAX+1 (the next auto_increment number...). But only with "insert" operation.
