Submit/Resubmit

I have a management page that allows the Website content owners the ability to add, change, or delete specific rows or content in a MySQL table.

The problem is that when they press the Browser's back button, after a successful submit, the previous submit is resubmitted again thus creating duplicate entries in the table.

How can I prevent this from happening?

Hello,

This is a pretty common problem. You might want to try and have something like this.

Do a select to ensure a duplicate record does not exist for this name, code, id what ever. If there is one then report and error or simple display the normal form without adding the second duplicate record.

You could also add something to the code that redirects the user to some other page so if the press back then it goes someone else.
