Simple Registration to access...

Is there a way to make a page where the user must 'authenticate' himself by typing his zipcode into a box and clicking submit before he can access the true page... and this must happen each and everytime he hits the page...

for example, i bookmark www.yada.com/stream.php and i want to go to it... but i must first type my zip code before i may view the page...

and i would like the zipcode to be emailed to me.... is this possible???

Click on a story and you get stopped for a zip and some other stuff. Uber-annoying - to the point I've given up on the site unless I'm bored and then I put bogus stuff in.

Yes, you can do this with PHP. Hopefully you have a better reason to prompt for this info so users will be more likely to enter more accurate information.

Basically what we would be using it for is to see where people are visiting from.

We offer streaming audio of our high-school sports online, and we just want to know how many people are tuning in, and where they are coming from to listen... taht is all...

any help?
