doing a cancel button

I have this application form and I need to put in a cancel button.

Is the logic of the cancel button too obvious?

Should I just link the cancel button to the page prior to the application form? or is there some functions within the cancel button that I have to watch out for?

Never done a cancel button, but I don't want to just jump to conclusion and link it to a page prior to the application form.

Making a few assumptions to what you want..

Basically depending on what you are wanting the cancel button for basically is quite easy i tend to just use

$_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']

that on the cancel button. (Just check if that is correct its spelt incorrectly in PHP)

Other than that its pretty straight forward
