howto install freetype on windows?

i'm running iis6, already have php/mysql/gd working fine.

i cannot find any info on how to install/configure freetype2 on windows2003.

Far as I'm aware you can just use Windows's native TTF driver without installing FreeType. Hang on, let's just try it.
