Showing all parts of an array?

Ok I bet this sounds overly simple to some of you, but I've tried several things from the manual with no luck.

How do you simply step through an array, element by element, and print both the key and the value? I don't know the total number of elements in the array, there are no standards to the array (there could be any keys/values, etc)...

Any ideas?

I tried this, couldn't figure it. Specifically it is an array of sub-arrays, and these sub-arrays have their own arrays, etc etc...

But they are not number/value pairs, it is associative, so I might have:

tmparray[key1][0][sub2][0]
tmparray[key2][0][sub3][0]

so when I do a "foreach" all I get is:

Array
Array
Array
Array
Array
...

as output.
