Easy php/mysql/apache install instrux for windows

I got tired of forgetting how to do all of this so I'm posting these instructions.

First install Apache. Get Windows download at:
http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/
Grab latest no_src.msi or no_src.exe file then download and let installer do the work. Select 'install as a service' when prompted (unless you're using something older than win2000). This allows apache to start automatically when windows starts.

Next, install PHP. Get easy Windows download at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/universal-auth/
This is a great hassle free install. It takes care of the configuration for you.

Next, get MySql from:
http://www.mysql.com/downloads/index.html
Run the installer. If the install doesn't install MySql as a service then do it manually. Open your command prompt and type cd c:\mysql\bin to switch to your mysql installation (note: if you installed mysql to a different directory than c:\mysql then use that directory + \bin)
Mysql installs with a default user of 'root' and no password. To change these open command prompt and switch to mysql folder.

type mysql -uroot -p mysql. This should let you login as root, and just hit enter when it asks for your password (since you haven't set up any). Now you're logged in as 'root'. Type the following:
USE mysql; (to use the 'mysql' db)
SET PASSWORD FOR root@localhost=PASSWORD('new_password');
This sets your mysql password. If you want to change user name to something other than 'root', Type:
UPDATE user SET user='new user' WHERE user='root';
hit enter then type:
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
this allows privileges to take effect.

Dear Friend,

first install mysql on your system

thin install easyphp on your system

it will install apache,php and configures your mysql already installed

but you have to create your mysql tables in the mysql directory of easy php

place your php or html pages in www folder of easyphp directory

or edit the config file in easyphp/apche/config and give the required path
