A problem that I've recently noticed is that the version of norton I'm using blocks certain images and text.
I had a page with a working image, which was pulled from a database and echoed through php. I had it working then one day I tested the page and the image vanished all together. I spent a while going over code looking for errors but I hadn't touched the page so I realized it must be something else before re-writing the code itself... Had I edited that page I would have assumed it was something I did and probably spent hours trying to get it to work again.
Anyway I finally figured out that it was related to Norton Internet security and it blocks certain images and text but lets other things through with no problems. When it is disabled all is well, but the problem is sure this fixes it for me but there are countless others that have Norton and leave it on default settings and they are not seeing any banner ads and some other images on my site. I even tried to load yahoo with this Norton and several images and text are even missing from their site.
I was just wondering if there is a code I can add so that Norton does not erase certain images... Some of the images off of the database do work fine while others don't. I can't seem to figure out why some show up and some don't.
