simple calendar and event scheduler

I am a web designer and I would like to place a simple calendar on my website which also acts as an event scheduler. It should not require a data base as I would simply open the file and and add new events or delete old ones. It should be easy to install and change the events as I do not have any knowledge of php. I would be grateful if anybody can help me out with this.

I know you asked for a calendar that doesn't have a database backend, but this one at codewalkers.com was my choice when I was looking for a plug and chug script. If you can get someone to install PHP/mySQL for you, then this script is pretty easy to install and use. I use it on one of my sites and the secretary who updates the calendar loves it. The URL is calendar.codewalkers.com. I thought it was easy to customize, but it also worked for me "right out of the box" so to speak.
