[Resolved] Formatting lost when data echoed

In my database I have a large list, which includes blank lines, when I view it with phpMyAdmin the list is formatted correctly. However when I try to echo it through PHP it loses all formatting and is hard to read. How do I get round this?

try too use the hmtl <pre> tags

echo "<pre>".$row['yourrowhere']."</pre>";
?>

Hi
When you echo it to screen, it is interpreted as normal HTML, which, as I hope you know, shows only linebreaks when <br> is includes, and multiple spaces / tabs etc are ignored.
You can work around this by surrounding the echood text with
<pre> *** </pre>
tags (prformatted text).

more elegant is of course to use nl2br() to convert linebreaks to <br>
