hyperlinking and carrying data

Okay... here is my little problem of the day.

I need to be able to have a user have the ability to click on a hyperlink that will carry data to a page that will then take the info an perform a search. For instance, clicking on a hyperlink for "view our air inventory", a search is then done, and the results for "air" are displayed.

I know I can carry it in the actual hyperlink like http://www.abcd.com/search.php?search=air .... but I beleive that requires global vars to be on..which they are not. I was told by a friend that I could use a form to post the data and maybe some javascript to perform the post via a hyperlink.

Any ideas / solutions? Thanx!

Global vars? You mean register_globals? It doesn't require that to be on....

yes yes... register_globals... will give it another shot...believe i have a problem somewhere else.....prob. new years eve still hanging with me 😃 ....thanx!
