hello,
I asked too many questions π
If i store passwords in database using md5();
And if i want to retrive the pass in orginal format what should i do.
Cheers, yousaf FAYYAZ.
md5 is using one-way hushing algorithm.. so one u hush a string u cannot get back the original string..
if u are using it for password.. then u can pass the user input(password) into md5() and compare with the hushed string with the password stored in the DB..
hope this helpsπ
That is why some sites can only reset your password (Like this site).
I think blackie meant hash, not hush.
In any case, I suggest that you do more research on security.
Oops.. i think i use hushmail too much.. π sorry about that.. π
Thanks .
I would love to here from the you ppl if u guide me about the security issue and give me some tips about a good login script.

We can't spoon feed you with everything. Use google. use the manual. all the info already resides there.
And use these forums. Search phrases like reverse md5 security login script spring to mind.
every programmer adopt their way of verifying user.. i guess md5 is a good one..
Thanks alot mate..
I am running alot from these forums.
