empty file cronjob

Dear Peoples,

I have just installed AWStats at http://www.cubecart.com/cgi-bin/awstats/awstats.pl

I have followed the AWStats userguide and setup a cronjob to run at midnight every night to update the stats.

My problem is that I have 1GB webspace but the log file is growing really fast at 20 Mb in 3 days. It has one log file in /home/webadmin/cubecart.com/access_log

My question?

What command can I use in my crontab to empty this access_log file at say 00:05 on the 1st of every month?

My control panel HSPComplete will do the time bit so I just need to know say:

/home/webadmin/cubecart.com/access_log (empty)

Any help much appreciated.

Well, you could write a PHP script to open it and empty it, but seems like overkill. All you really need to do it delete it (rm -fr filename), then make a new blank one (touch filename).
