encode/decode html code ? Flash form

Hello guys HNY

I have a little contact form on my flash site. The text area is set to html so when the form is submitted to the php file this is what is being sent

<TEXTFORMAT LEFTMARGIN=\"2\" RIGHTMARGIN=\"2\" INDENT=\"2\" LEADING=\"4\">
<P ALIGN=\"LEFT\"><FONT FACE=\"FFF Business\" SIZE=\"8\" COLOR=\"#000000\"><b>sdfsdfsdfsdf</b></FONT></P></TEXTFORMAT>

How do i process the information so that i dont get this in my email?
So that i should would have

message= [B]sdfsdfsdfsdf[/B]

Try using the strip_tags() function. Sometimes likes to work, sometimes doesn't. Otherwise, you'll need to write a regular expression to extract the tags.

Here's a start ... it's not perfect because it will go wrong if the
user types a '<' into the text box on the form but that's a flash problem.

    $text_only = $matches[1];
    print $text_only;
