ok.. now i realize you guys are gonna start groaning from this... and i am sorry for wasting your time. and b4 you say anything, i have done searches out my yin-yang. the problem, i just dont know what i am looking at.
before i get into my question... i am a very fast learner. i have taught my self flash by taking full advantage of www.flashkit.com and all of its resource. however, i dont know ehre to look for a site similar to that one dealing with PHP. i think this one is porbably close, but again, i dont know what i am seeing.
ok.. now onto my problem. i am developing a phpnuke site for a retail/internet type business. i really want to incorporate my skills in flash into this site. i want to use iframes to have my header being constant and the rest of the set dynamic in the context of a phpnuke format. the header will have the logo, and some basic navigation as well as some music playing. i can set it up now without the iframe, but when ever a link is clicked, the entire page reloads this seems to be a very bulky, not to mention, time consuming process.
it would be simply easier to have the header load one time only, and having it their constantly, since that would be the largest file during load time.
what i want to know.. are there templates out there, or "page downloads" with accessable code available that i can tear apart, analyze, and modify for my purposes? i guess all i really need is a single php file set up with the iframes and a few remarks stating what is what. i can figure out the settings as i do it.
right now, i have enough understanding of php code to be dangerous. i can look at the code and understand when the file is attempting to get another one (ie looking for a .swf or .gif or sumthin) and i understand when it needs another php file. but i dont understand the layout stuff. the sql stuff i can figure out with my good friend google and a few books from the library.
imnot afraid to get my feet wet in with the coding... can someone show me where the pool is?
thanx a bunch
