How is everyone doing tonight? I have a great question for you guys. Here it is , I was wondering how would you go about displaying all the PHP Sessions that are currently logged? Such as like Computer A and Computer B start a PHP session. I was wondering is there something I can do to even see that they have an open PHP session? I know it can be done, just how? If you can help me thanks so much!

Well, one way would be to read through all the files in the sessions directory. Better yet, control your sessions with a database. Great tutorial on how to do that here

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Yeah I was going to have the users log in and then it start a session. Then I want a way to read out all the session's. Is there a "quick" line(s) that can do that? I am defintly reading through that link. Excellent refrence. Thank you. So if you know right off hand let me know. Thanks so much!

Well, using something like that, you have control of when your sessions should expire and so forth. Assuming you use a database, upon registering the session, you can register the username as a session variable and store it in the database as well. Then it will simply be a matter of a quick SQL query to grab the names of the users currently in the table

OK ... let me try explaining it a different way.

When they log in it starts a session. IT will log their username per say. <--- I have this part down pretty good.

I now want to show a list of the current sessions open. I know I can make them expire whenever, just want to show the current online users. Such as with this site. How do you do that?

This site uses the method I just explained. Store the session in the database. Query the table for all records of username. If they are in that table, they are online.
