merging .doc files with php

How do we merge two .doc files using php. Will appreciate if someone shows me how to do it, at least some information on it

Hmmm.. I doubt that this is possible.
Word is a heavily formatted format which isn't read by php.

You can create docs with php installed on the win32-platform (COM), but even then I suspect it's more hassle than useful :p

Thanks for your suggestion, indeed i tried creating .doc file in php.

How abt .rtf files, is there any possiblities of doing so ? Pls do advice, some how I have to provide solution.
