How do i auto update it? How do i tell db that it is the new year and it has to do the give calculation itself and use query to store the new date? 15-10= 5.

i am using php/mysql. Is it possible to do the above? need help. thanks.

okay, I noticed that you had posted quite some time ago, and no one had answered you, I felt bad for you and decided to help. well I read your post. compleatly didn't understand... read again paying really close attention, was baffled. possibly if you could restate your problem, with a little context of what it is for... what the expected output is and what is happining now, this would help the rest of us help you

the one with those doted lines are tables created.

day used table is to keep the record of a person if he used it. assumed as point also can. (points used).
Days allocated is the number of days they are allocated each year. For example, for every start of a new round, the point will be given a point. Here, it is 15.

Eg. When a person wants to take one day, then he will record it to the days used table. This is done by using a form. Already did.
FOr days allocated table, i will manually enter the respective days allocated for each person and the c/f for the first time will always be zero. (this is manually entered for FIRST TIME only). So for the next year, i would not want to manually enter the data into the days allocated table. I would want it to somehow, auto update itself(only for days allocated table). I hope this is clear. i dunno how to explain further.
Anyway, if still dont understand then its ok. Erm.from wat i see, i dont think anything can be done if we did not load any page rite. So i was wondering whether there is a place for mysqlcc to write the query and refresh itself. :rolleyes:
