weird email text/plain format

How are you doin.....";

$msg_html = ' '.$msg.'
________________________________________________ \r\n
Testing sending email (TEXT)';

$headers = "From: Someone <[e-mail]>\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-type: text; ";

mail($email, $subject, $msg_html, $headers);

then i received this kind of email :
Hello, what's up How are you doin.....________________________________________________ \r\n Testing sending email (TEXT)

Probably because you're using single quotes instead of double quotes. Try using double quotes. Also, a new line in a plain text email should work with just \n. No need for the carriage return. Though, you do want to leave the carriage return in the headers.
