Image overlay?

I need to combine two images into one but haven't been able to find any examples of this. I have one image sized 25x300 and another sized 10x10. I need to place the 10x10 image ontop of the 25x300.

I need to be able to do it on the fly as combined they will work as a counter so the 10x10 will move x amont of pixels each week.

Any suggestions??

I would use inline css dynamically generated with numerical values from the database and use style="position:absolute;top:10px;left:20px;"> etc...

you might also try looking into gdlib if your hosting has it installed. That would be a little more complicated.
