How do a decompress and extract the files in a tar.gz file using php? I've asked this before and didn't get the answer I needed. Invisionboard creates them and can extract them when managing skins on it's forums. So, how can I do this as well?

Please, I need some help on this soon as it will make it much easier on the updating of my website.

Tried those, they freeze my computer, but INvisionBoard doesn't. So what's the problem there? It must me using something else because it allows me to import and export skins using the tar.gz files but I can't use zlib functions because my computer freezes. I don't think I even have the extensions turned on. If there is another way around this, I'd prefer to go another way, if not, I don't understand why it doesn't work when I do it but it does when IPB does it.
