[Resolved] embedding links in a MySQL dB

I am currently pulling out brief information from a table.

I would like to give the user the opportunity to see more detail of the entire MySQL row...presented nicely. Exactly as is done in this forum when you browse the threads.

How do I create that link? Is is created in the original post, the array or what?

Any help greatly appreciated.

It is created when outputting the HTMl.

Each link is a combination of a text part, which in this caase represents the thread title, and a link part, which in thi scase consists of the page: Showthread.php and a record to display: threadid=...

The showthread page then loads the information of that record from the database, and displays it.

I am nearly there, but cannot get my value out now...the value being $log_title....Not sure what to do next.

Hi,

You need to change:
log_id=log_id
into:
log_id=$row[log_id]

I suppose.

Also you will need double quotes around the echo statement, otherwise the variables will not be passed.
This means that any other double quotes in the strings need to be preceeded with a \ (so: a href=\"\"></a>)
