Hello everybody,
Currently i'm doing a project involving data migration between two databases. The problem is, the migration need some processes before the data can be store. Meaning a few query statements and checking need to be done first. The execution always terminated half way. The error is, cgi time out, server has deleted the process. I already increase the execution time to 3600 seconds in php.ini. Please help!

I have had similar problems. I found that using:

set_time_limit(20*60)

worked well to prevent timeout issues on huge queries. It allows 20 minutes to finish the query, even though it rarely takes that long unless the tables are freakin huge.
