[Resolved] How do I pass a variable in a <a href> with globals off?

I am trying to figure out how to pass a variable, with global variables off, in a link... but no luck so far... please help..................

this works with global variables on:

echo("<a href='mynextpage.php?id=$id'>NEXT</a>");
