At the moment, I've made a gallery using php that takes all the files in a folder, sticks them in an array and then shows urls to the images (in numbers), while showing one picture at a time ( my gallery ). Right now I've got the descriptions for the pictures in an array as well, but as soon as I delete the pictures, the descriptions are off by one (like the gallery of Western Canada...past picture 15 or something is all off by one). I've thought about making a new system with MySQL where I can place the URL's of the images into rows and then pull them out that way instead of an array. Is there anyway I can attach the description to it as well? My knowledge of MySQL is quite limited, and I fear that it'll just lead to the same problem as I have now (if deleting a row, the numbers will be off). Anyone have any suggestions?
