Hi
Is the open trying to open a file with the name of type:
http://www.yourname.com/thisfile.php
or
/home/username/public_html/thisfile.php
or
/thisfile.php
I suspect the first type. If you are refering to this type, then either the firewall on your server, or the server on which the file sits, has been upgraded to prevent trojans from getting in.
I had this problem a year ago with my host. Whatever, if the file really is local, you can use the document root variable to find your own server root, e.g.
$_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']
Otherwise you may be stuck if what I suspect has happened has indeed happened. You will find that any decent admin will be making similar changes to their servers too.
