Extension won't load despite extension_dir

Hey. I just recently installed Apache and PHP, and attempted to enable php_mcrypt.dll and also set extension_dir in the php.ini file to the correct directory with both the php.exe and the dll file. The thing will not load no matter what, it seems.

What can I do to fix this?

libmcrypt is not included with the win32 version of PHP. i don't know where to get it.

I have the same problem, having set my extension_dir and uncommented extension=php_gd2.dll ... I have restarted the server (Apache) ...

See my post GD2 Dependicies??? I have the same problem, and have yet to find a solution. If you do find something, please tell me and I likewise.
