php with apache 2.0.40

Is PHP not stable with apache 2? Should I be using apache 1.x?
the php build file says its experimental

I've been using 2.04 for ages, no problems at all. And I mean, not one. PHP ver I am using is 4.2.3.

I use 2.0.48 on one of my servers. Haven't had a problem yet.
