I'm trying to get php_imap.dll to run on Windows 98 (Apache 2.0.48, PHP 4.3.4) but I'm not having much luck.
I was first alerted to the problem when I saw: Call to undefined function: imap_open() come up in one of my scripts.
I've uncommented the appropriate line in php.ini (extension=php_imap.dll) and upon restarting the Apache server, I get this warning box appear:
Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic library 'c:/php/extensions/php_imap.dll' - A device attached to the system is not functioning.
I've checked, and the DLL is there. I remember when trying to enable GD support a while back I had to copy over some other DLLs that were related, but I've copied ALL of the DLLs into their appropriate places and the message still appears.
Is IMAP supported on Win98? I can't upgrade as this is my work machine. Oh, how I long for my Windows 2000 box at home 😉
