Dynamic query using select boxes

First off, I'm fairly new to PHP, so I can appreciate any help from you PHP experts!

I'm working on a website for a used car lot and I need advice on creating an advanced search page.

I'm using a mySQL database with PHP to maintain the inventory. Currently, I have a page that contains the following select boxes (these values are static, not populated from the table)

Make
Category
Year
Year To
Price
Price To

When the user makes his/her selection, I would like to populate a table with several attributes that match their search criteria.

What's the best way to obtain such results? Is this possible?
