making a date select box with 2 week differences

I need to make a select box that displays a single day (the final day of a pay period) and repeats this for every 14 days.

i.e. next pay period end date is 2004-02-01. I need to display only this date between the last pay period (2004-01-18) and the end date itself.

When 2/1 rolls around, I want the date to automatically change at midnight to 2004-02-15.

How should I go about doing this? I've tried many different things and can't seem to get it right.

How do you plan to tell the script to change? Are you going to store the dates somewhere(DB, text file)? Or are you just wanting to have it automatically calculate two weeks ahead?

I was wanting it to automatically calculate 14 days ahead. Currently there isn't anything in the databases with the pay period end dates.

Well, I'm thinking you may need to run some sort of cron script to see when this should update to the new date. Shouldn't be too hard. You can calculate two weeks ahead by using [man]strtotime[/man]

hmmm... would it be possible to make a select box for it (its actually a field for a form) using a for loop?

With this I wouldn't need ti to calculate when it should change. Just display the date every 2 weeks.

Sure, you could, but this would update every day unless you explicitly told the script to start on another date

how would I write that to start on say, 2004-01-18, add 14 days to it, then add 14 days to that next value etc etc. My biggest concern would be how can i limit that to say, 5 result sets, dumping the earliest date?
