Please help a victim of theft

Hi all,

Recently my bike was stolen. I have set up a page explaining what happened, and what it looks like, in case anyone happens to run across it.

I live in Arizona too. I've had my truck broken into three times and my stereos stolen. I no longer put after market stereos in there. Seems worthless, considering if you have something that someone else may possibly want, they'll steal it.

If it is your only form of transport and only used a cheap chain then i cant blame what happened however i do feel sorry for you.

When you can get your next bike get a better chain or better yet a bike lock which is metal unless someone has a grinder they can only take one wheel off.

I have three U-bolt locks for my bike

1) front tire to frame
2) back tire to frame
3) frame to some sort of post.

Nice never seen them though. It probably wouldnt be much good on my carbon fibre frame though

I agree, get several locks for your next bike. Why would anyone want a $400 bike anyway? They must just get pleasure in taking things that arn't theirs. Some people... Anyway, I hope you catch the thief and get a nice new bike.

You must be a mountain biker to have that frame. You like the carbon frame? I'm building my next mountain bike but havn't chosen a frame yet.

I should really get two bike locks.....all I can do is bike around the block...I can't leave my bike anywhere...I have no bike locks.

bike theft is very common here in Canada too...never had a bike stolen, but I'm sure it's not very nice to have yours stolen. A good way for people to retrace your bike is to engrave your license plate number (of your car) in the bike frame and go over it with varnish. That way your bike is easier to retrace.
