What flags to use for php configuration?

Hi,
please help. I would like php 4.3.4 to work with Apache 2.0.x. What flags should I use for php configuration?
For example, one of the main futures of Apache 2.0 is threaded MPM.
Should I configure php with --with-tsrm-st to support thread safe mode?
Any additional flags are recommended for php configuration to work with apache 2.0?
