Which Version Windows?

I need some help from the Windows users out there. I have an IntraNet Server which will run Apache/PHP/MySQL and do lots of ODBC. Because of the ODBC, it must be a Windows box.

My Question is, what version of windows would be best? 2000 Pro, 2000 Server, 2000 Advanced Server, or XP Pro.

The server has NO connection to the outside world, and will get relatively high usage of It's MySQL database and Apache server. (P4, 2.4Ghz, 1GB Ram, Raid 1)

Your oppinions would be greatly appreciated.

2000 Server also useable

To be honest, if you're only running it as an intranet server, NT4 would do perfectly well for what you want.

If you need the best, tho, why not 2k3?

Hmmm so you guys think that the Microsoft Server products will run MySQL, Apache, and PHP with more stability than thier "Pro" products?

I just sort of figured that a stripped down version of the "Pro" would be less of a system resource hog than the "Server" version.....

You think M$ products will run MySQL, Apache, and PHP with more stability than Linux?
Since you'll do lots of ODBC........

Errr No..... I would love to be able to use Linux....

However....the C-TREE ODBC drievrs are only availabel for Windows...

What I think is, M$ Server products will run ODBC better than Pro products.....understand?

My opinion, get what you need. If all your doing is ODBC then just get server. Then spend the extra money you have (if you were going to buy advanced server) on a better system, upgrade hardware. Windows 2k is all the same from 2k Pro to Datacenter server. The only difference is that more "features" are unlocked with each version, the core of 2k is the same. So, honestly, I think 2k Pro would do the job just fine.
