[Resolved] Installing Apache twice

I want to know if i can install Apache twice one as a development and one for testing adding modules etc to on the same computer.

My OS is WinXP.

they'd have to be different versions i think. i was running 1.3 and 2.0 concurently a while ago.

Okay thanks, i thought it was possible, just wanted to make sure before i wasted my time.

Now im two different set ups as well

One setup is PHP 4.3.4 which runs as a CGI, the other which is PHP 4.3.4 also but as a Module

Now im wanting to know on a Win XP System if you can run two different php.ini files. Will i need to change a directory to point to the php.ini of the module or will it still need to be in the C:\Windows directory.

Just in case (on the off chance) someone else tries to do what you did.

I read it in the php install.txt

the PHP.ini will be searched in 2places

System Directory I.E WinXP c:\windows
and the Apache installation directory

in the Bin Subfolder of Apache

e.g.

c:\apache\bin - your php.ini here

Hope that helps people in future sorry for not adding it before.
