is there a way to avoiding wordwrapping when using the PHP/CODE tags when posting to this forum?

The php and code tags should not wrap.

echo "This is a very long string that goes beyond the borders of the page. I apologise for posting such a long string.";

This is all monospace text...hooray! I like monospace text. Do you like it too? This extends the borders of the page.

Strange, does wrap after a while, no way to prevent it...

looks like the PHP tags do wrap but the CODE tags do not. it's a drag, really makes PHP code examples on this board difficult to read. it that something that the admins could change?
