what should I do if the server guy (web hosting) didnt offer GDimage/imagemagick.
Is there anyway to shrink/resize the image automatically (server side).
Well have you asked? GD is easy to install. Im suprised they wont do it for you.
If they dont id move hosts with one that does.
they said it's server intensive... I can't move to another server because my company use this webhost company for a long time.. and I'm sure 100% they dont want to move.
You're kind of stuck then; if they won't allow GD Lib (to pick the simpler of the two), then any server-side rescaling of images would be deemed "server intensive" by the hosts, and they won't want to support it.
show them by your company being such a good customer they install for you or you drop them as a hoster
